We are once again proud to sponsor the annual Goring 10k run, which takes place on Sunday 1st March 2015, with all proceeds going to Goring Primary School. Mark Hollands – Our Skydiving Litigator!

DCIM107GOPRO

Mark Hollands (in yellow!) skydives from 13,000 ft in California!

Mark Hollands, on a recent trip to California to visit his eldest daughter, took the brave decision to skydive from 13,000 ft on New Year’s Eve.

Mark and his family were visiting his eldest daughter who is currently studying at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB). She did her first tandem skydive in November with other UCSB students and enjoyed it so much that Mark and his family were persuaded to give it a go!

The jump took place on 31st Dec 2014 from Lompoc CA (just north of Santa Barbara) from a height of 13,000ft with about 1 minute of free fall. According to Mark, there was no feeling of falling, just a sense of intense wind coming up from the ground at over 120mph! The view (Pacific Ocean on two sides and mountains on a third) was so incredible that the experience was almost one of sensory overload, trying to take in everything as it was all happening (and before it was over).

And the big question is … would he do it ever again – to which he responded with a resounding yes!
